Jesus was still very young as was Mary and Joseph.

But King Herod didn’t want any competition so he was attempting to destroy the newborn king by having all male childrenunder the age of two killed.

This was no doubt a very scary time for Joseph and Mary.

They just had a new baby son and would now have to go to a country that they were unfamiliar with and stay until it was safe again.

It meant that they would have to trust and depend upon the Lord to see them through.

But as God always does He proved Himself to be a rock, a fortress and a deliver for Joseph, Mary and Jesus.

He continues to do the same for us as we trust in Him in our difficult situations
